Denmark in last bid to get support for new prospectus rules

The Danish presidency of the EU is preparing a last-ditch concession in an attempt to save the European prospectus directive.

The directive is still facing opposition over the question of which regulatory authority should vet and authorise an issuer's prospectus. The Danish proposal aims to reduce the minimum value above which issuers of non-equity securities can choose which national regulatory authority approves their prospectus.
