An actress has lost her claim for a share of a £2.85m will, after the judge ruled she was not a dependent to her mother's late lesbian partner.

Hetty Baynes wanted an inheritance as a "dependent" of the late Mary Spencer Watson, a sculptress who had a lesbian relationship with Baynes' mother.
