Richard Rogers, the veteran architect behind Lloyd’s Building and 3 World Trade Center, to retire

Richard Rogers, the architect who designed the Lloyd’s of London building, Heathrow Terminal Five and 3 World Trade Center, will retire from his firm Roger Stirk Harbour + Partners.

The company, which he founded as the Richard Rogers Partnership in 1977, filed a document on 28 August terminating his director appointment on 30 June. The news was first reported by trade publication Building Design.
