Deutsche Asset Management has hired a rival's director of marketing as its global head of consultant relations.

Susan Small joins Deutsche from Nicholas Applegate Capital Management, where she also held the position of head of consultant relations. She will report to Roelfien Kuijpers, global head of Deutsche's institutional business, and be based in Chicago.
