Deutsche Bank has bolstered its large-cap investment banking coverage group in the US with the appointment of John Calvert, formerly of Credit Suisse First Boston, as a managing director.

Calvert will be based in New York and report to Robert Jeffe, chairman of the corporate advisory group in the Americas, which encompasses the firm's investment banking coverage and mergers and acquisitions business, according to a statement from the bank.
