The chief executive of Deutsche Bank has reprimanded senior members of staff at the ailing German lender for inviting tailors into the London HQ for a suit-fitting on the same day many other staff were being fired.

Christian Sewing, the bank’s chief executive, told Handelsblatt, the German newspaper: “This behavior is in no way in line with our values... I assume that the two colleagues will not forget my call.”
