Deutsche Bank has mounted an impressive challenge on the leading group of international mergers and acquisitions advisors in 2001.

Deutsche, which last year did not figure at all in the top 10 global, European or US announced deal league tables, came seventh, eighth and seventh respectively for the year to date, according to preliminary data from Dealogic.
