Deutsche Bank has hired another of Barclays' top UK investment bankers, as the German lender continues to expand the unit in Europe.

Derek Shakespeare has joined Deutsche Bank as chairman of M&A for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, according to a statement from the bank. He joins from Barclays, where he was latterly chairman of UK M&A and head of financial institutions group M&A for Europe & Middle East.
