Deutsche Bank rehires Steffens from Merrill Lynch

Rolf Steffens, who defected from Deutsche Bank to Merrill Lynch in 2000, is rejoining the German bank to work in its fixed income business.

Market sources said that Steffens is likely to be based in Frankfurt and take a senior role in the bank's fixed income origination and sales activities.
