Deutsche Börse reports strong 2001, led by Eurex demand

Deutsche Börse, the German stock exchange operator, has beat analysts' forecasts for 2001 and turned in full-year earnings before interest and tax of €278.1 ($241.5), up 28% from the previous year.

Sales for the full year were up 17% at €760.3m. Fourth-quarter operating profit rose 51% to €52.8, exceeding the market consensus of €41.8m.
