Deutsche hires healthcare banking head from Nomura

German lender is selectively rebuilding its advisory business after losing a number of dealmakers in recent months

Deutsche Bank has hired a Nomura banker to lead its coverage of healthcare companies, as the German lender selectively rebuilds its advisory business after losing a number of dealmakers in recent months.

The bank has brought in Paolo Cicchine, Nomura’s global head of healthcare investment banking, as a vice-chair of global healthcare and head of healthcare coverage in Europe and Asia, according to a statement. He will join in early 2020.
