Deutsche Bank has hired a banker from Daimler Financial Services, the German carmaker's financial arm, to run its business in Qatar as the biggest Western banks continue to grow their teams in the Middle East.
Deutsche, which received approval from the Qatar Financial Centre Authority in January to open an office, has hired Mounir Husseini as chief country officer for Qatar. Husseini was previously a managing director in structured finance at Daimler's financial wing.
