Deutsche reaches agreement on derivatives losses

Deutsche Bank has made out-of-court settlements with several local authority and corporate customers in Germany over losses incurred in complex interest rate derivative products.

German business newspaper Handelsblatt reported more than 700 customers had been sold the product, known as a "CMS spread ladder swap" since 2005. Other banks also sold the product, although in smaller volumes.
