Charles Curtis, a former star UK equity manager at Deutsche Asset Management, has set up a hedge fund boutique with former Deutsche colleagues and Nick Ritblat, a former director of British Land.

Curtis' colleagues in the $150m (€120m) venture, CZ Capital, are fellow UK equity managers Steven Evans and William Rushmer, and Martyn Kearney, former finance director of Deutsche Asset Management's UK business.
