Russell Duckworth, head of European equity at Deutsche Bank, is expected to be named as the best head of research in the market in a survey to be published next week.

Duckworth is expected to overtake Tim Orchard at UBS Warburg, who won last year, as the best head of research in a poll of European fund managers by Sammon Associates, the financial markets headhunting firm. As in other recent polls, Deutsche Bank, Schroder Salomon Smith Barney and Credit Suisse First Boston have all consolidated their teams and climbed up the rankings.
