Deutsche's Michael Dobson quits

Michael Dobson, head of Deutsche Bank's asset management business and member of the board of directors, today resigned following the bank's announced €30bn merger with Dresdner Bank last week.

Robert Smith, vice-chairman of the asset management division, will take over as chief-executive, and will report to Josef Ackermann, board member responsible for investment banking.
