Derek Weaving, Deutsche Bank's highly-rated head of emerging Europe energy research, has joined United Financial Group (UFG), the independent Russian investment bank.

Weaving was consistently ranked in the top three for his sector by Reuters and Extel emerging markets equity research surveys during his four years as team head at Deutsche. He has also worked as an adviser to leading Russian energy companies such as UES on restructuring programmes, and Yukos on investor relations.
