Revolut completed a long-awaited $500m fundraising, making the digital bank one of the most valuable fintech start-ups in Europe.

The announcement confirms a Financial News report, published 14 January, which revealed that investors had valued Revolut at $5bn prior to investing. With the fresh equity capital in hand, Revolut’s valuation has risen to $5.5bn.
