Manchester has been under the UK's highest coronavirus alert tier of restrictions for nearly two weeks, offering a taste of what is to come for Londoners as they brace for another round of tight lockdowns.
Under Greater Manchester’s “very high” alert tier, the government recommends its 2.8m residents work from home where they can, while mixing between households is banned in any setting.
