Doughty Hanson plans €800m quick-flip float for Saft

Doughty Hanson, a private equity group, plans to float Saft, the French manufacturer of high-tech battery systems just 14 months after buying the company for €410m ($523.4m). The float could raise up to €800m.

Saft, which was briefly listed on the Paris Stock Exchange in the 1980s before being acquired by Alcatel, generated €80m in earnings last year.
