Dresdner Kleinwort Capital, the private equity arm of Dresdner Bank, has built its Italian portfolio company, Appliance Components Companies, with the acquisition of the motor production business of Electrolux, the domestic appliance manufacturer.

The sale price was not disclosed but the motor business had sales of Skr2.24bn (€244m) in 2001. Centrobanca and Friulia, two Italian banks, also invested in the deal.
