Dresdner Kleinwort Benson (DrKB) has hired a new head of emerging markets debt syndicate, part of the bank's ongoing attempts to rebuild its capital markets franchise in Europe.

Dermot Mayes is to join DrKB from UBS Warburg. Mayes has been a fixture of the emerging markets debt community for many years. He was most recently Warburg's head of emerging markets syndicate but had at different times also run sales and trading of emerging markets debt instruments for the Swiss investment bank.
