DST International, the investment management systems developer, has expanded its offshore software development activities in Bangkok as it seeks to contain the costs of IT development by outsourcing.

The firm will increase the number of professional development staff at the Bangkok Software Development Centre from 50 to at least 200 by the end of 2004. The centre undertakes development work for the company's head offices in the UK and US as well as projects for clients in China, India and the European Union.
