Dutch brokers ponder move to LSE order book

Brokers on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange, part of pan-European stock exchange Euronext, are considering a switch to the London Stock Exchange's (LSE's) Sets electronic order book.

A spokesman from the LSE confirmed that the exchange is in the early stages of discussions with Dutch brokers to use Sets. The LSE gave a presentation to 27 Dutch brokers recently, outlining a straight-through processing (STP) offering that includes Sets, central counterparty clearing and netting, he said.
