ABP, the €150bn ($136.8bn) Dutch fund for the health care sector and one of the largest pension funds in the world, has appointed a new chairman.
Elco Brinkman, who will replace the retiring Bert de Vries, is set to start on September 1. Brinkman is the former chairman of one of the main political parties in the Netherlands, CDA. Apart from his new role at ABP, he will continue to chair the association of construction companies as well as be vice-chairman of the Dutch employers' association.
