DWS Group, the asset management unit of Deutsche Bank, has hired an executive from Morgan Stanley Alternative Investment Partners to help spearhead its push into US private equity.

Kumber Husain, a former member of the private markets investment committee at Morgan Stanley, joined DWS’s New York office as head of private equity in the Americas, a statement released by the firm said.
