Peter Golden, former IT director of Barclays, has been appointed as chief technology officer of e-portals, a web-based trading, treasury services and risk management group.

In his new role, Golden will be responsible for introducing e-portals' technology to the financial services industry. He will need to recruit and manage a skilled development team. Golden will also be responsible for driving the expansion of e-portals' European development centre, which opened in January.
