European Union finance ministers will not now meet Wednesday before the summits of EU and eurozone heads of government but the promised anti-crisis package of measures is still expected Wednesday evening, according to several people familiar with the situation.

A spokeswoman for the U.K. representative's office at the European Union said the Polish presidency of the EU "have just confirmed that it will not convene an Ecofin tomorrow. They said this is a final decision."
