Edinburgh Partners, the investment management group set up earlier this year by ex-Scottish Widows chief investment officer Sandy Nairn, has made two appointments to develop its investment trust business.

Alex Gowans joins from Edinburgh Fund Managers where he was head of investment trusts. At Edinburgh Partners he will be a client relations and marketing consultant.
