Fund of funds manager EIM, which is rumoured to be considering a sale following a drop of more than 50% in assets since the summer of 2008, has added to its research team with the hire of an ex-UBP Asset Management analyst.

Robert Phillips has been appointed global head of equity long/short research at EIM, the fund of hedge funds founded by Arpad Busson in 1992.
