Investcorp, the Bahrain-listed alternatives firm, has brought the former head of Pimco on board as an adviser as part of an ambitious international expansion plan.

Mohamed El-Erian, who is currently chief economic adviser at German insurer Allianz, has been appointed to Investcorp's advisory board, the firm announced today.
