Elon Musk says he has lined up $46bn to fund Twitter deal

The Tesla boss is personally committing $21bn in equity, according to the 21 April SEC filing

Tesla Inc. Chief Executive Elon Musk said he has lined up $46.5bn to fund his bid for Twitter, answering the biggest question that had loomed over his takeover offer.

In a regulatory filing on 21 April, Musk also said he is exploring a tender offer to acquire shares of Twitter directly from shareholders. Twitter’s board hasn’t yet responded to his offer to buy the social-media company for $54.20 a share.
