The London-based head of sales trading for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Jefferies & Co has stepped down from his role at the US investment banking firm roughly three years after joining from Nomura.

Gavin Phillips was registered as inactive on the UK's Financial Services Register on February 23. He could not be reached for comment at Jefferies' London office, with a switchboard operator saying he was not listed in the staff directory.
