Emerging Capital Partners, the Africa-focused private equity firm, has hired Amaechi Ndili as head of its operations in Nigeria. In his new role, Ndili will work with the firm's portfolio companies and seek new opportunities in the country.

He is the founder and executive chairman of investment and holding firm Lionstone Group, which focuses on the real estate, hospitality, healthcare and energy industries in West Africa. The Nigerian businessman previously worked as a managing director in the real estate group at GE Capital and as an associate manager at McKinsey.
