Emerging markets credit derivatives more than double in Q2

Emerging markets credit derivatives volumes more than doubled during the second quarter of 2003, on the back of the strong and growing interest in emerging market bonds and derivatives from real money investors.

The figures from EMTA, a trade association for the emerging markets, showed that emerging market credit derivatives volumes had grown by 111% during the second quarter of this year, to total $49bn (€44bn).
