Enel looks to bag €7bn in New Wind IPO

Enel, the Italian power conglomerate, is hoping to raise €7bn ($6.1bn) from its initial public offering of 25% of New Wind, making the deal one of the largest corporate listings.

The flotation is back on track following the completion of Enel's purchase of Infostrada, Vodafone's Italian fixed-line subsidiary. Infostrada will be merged with Wind to form New Wind, creating Italy's second largest telecommunications firm, before the IPO is set in motion.
