E.ON eyes acquisitions after obtaining €15bn loan

E.ON, the German utility, is back on the acquisition trail after agreeing a new syndicated loan worth up to €15bn ($14.6bn).

Despite the company's claims that the credit facility is for liquidity purposes only and not for any major borrowing at present, bankers are expecting E.ON, which has been extremely acquisitive in the past, to announce a new deal in the US early next year.
