Epic Investment Consulting, the London-based agency, has hired David Somers, former director of pension funds at Clerical Medical Investment Group, to join its investment panel advising scheme trustees.

Somers joins Peter Murray, the retired former chief executive of Railpen, the Railway Pension Trustee Company who was appointed by Epic in August.
