EquiLend Holdings, the US-based global securities lending platform created by a consortium of bulge-bracket financial institutions, has made two senior appointments ahead of the system's testing phase going live in the first half of 2002.

Brent Bessire joins EquiLend as chief operating officer from IntlTrader.com where he was managing director and COO, while Benjamin Glicher, formerly a managing director in the financial services technology practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers, joins as chief technology officer.
