ESF to bolster European membership

The European Securities Forum (ESF), the group set up to appeal for consolidation among Europe's clearing and settlement agencies, is seeking to replace Pen Kent, its current chairman.

Kent is due to retire on April 10. The new chairman will be a senior investment banking figure from continental Europe, an ESF spokesman said.
