ESpeed launches alternative trading system

ESpeed, the Nasdaq-listed electronic dealing network, is preparing to launch an equities trading platform called Aqua, and has appointed its own president to run it.

Kevin Foley will leave his post as president of eSpeed to run the new division as president and chief executive. Howard Lutnick, chief executive of Cantor Fitzgerald, will add the title of president to his existing roles as chairman and chief executive of eSpeed.
