ESpeed stems losses

ESpeed, the Nasdaq-listed electronic dealing network, made a net loss of $400,000 (€313,000) in the three months to June 30, a near three-fold improvement on the $1.5m loss recorded in the same period last year.

The company's revenues inched forward to $39m from $37.5m in the second-quarter of 2005, despite a fall-off in electronic trading fee income.
