The European Union’s markets watchdog has published its final version of new rules for operating market benchmarks intended to prevent future rigging scandals.

The Paris-based European Securities and Markets Authority today released detailed technical standards for how national regulators should implement the Benchmarks Regulation, which will be applicable from January 2018.
