Eurex hits another year of record trading

Eurex, the German-Swiss derivatives exchange which is seeking to enter the US market next month, traded a record number of contracts last year making it the world's largest derivatives exchange.

It traded one billion contracts in 2003, 27% more than the previous year when 801m contracts were traded. The volumes confirm it as the largest derivatives exchange in the world.
