Eurex US, the fledgling North American arm of the Swiss-German derivatives exchange, is to waive transaction fees on its new family of US equity index contracts when they launch next month.

For a three-month period beginning on February 4 all transactions on Eurex's new US large-cap Russell 1000 index and the US small-cap Russell 2000 index will be free.
