Euronext has hired a senior executive from Societe Generale to lead its business in the UK, where it has been rebuilding leadership after a series of big departures.

Chris Topple, who co-runs the prime services division serving hedge funds at Societe Generale, will join as CEO of Euronext's London business and head of global sales in mid-October. He will also become a member of the group's managing board, according to a statement.
