Euronext.Liffe has joined with the FTSE Group to challenge Eurex's lead in equity index contracts.

In what appears to be a thinly veiled attempt to contest Eurex's leadership with the EuroStoxx50 contracts, Euronext is to launch a new suite of tradeable pan-European indices, together with FTSE Group, the global index provider.
