Europe is fast becoming the largest market for institutional investors seeking access to cryptocurrencies, topping the Americas and Asia in demand for digital assets.

Traditional financial firms are hunting for ways to give their clients access to rising cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin and ether. Banks such as Citigroup, Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley launched trading desks and derivatives product partnerships to cash in on the craze, which boomed this year as more market vehicles became available.
