Goldman Sachs's head of compliance in London is retiring after more than 30 years, sparking the latest in a series of senior changes in regulatory oversight that have taken place at the bank over the last 18 months.

Charles Eve, who has led compliance within Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Goldman since 2005, is stepping down, a bank spokesman confirmed.
