Junk bonds boom in Europe

This month has been the busiest September on record for high-yield debt issuance in Europe, with both investors and markets calmed by central bank interventions

This month has been the busiest September on record for Europe's junk bond market, as investors make a return to riskier assets in light of massive central bank liquidity injections.

From September 1 to September 24, there were 21 junk bonds issued which raised a total of $10.3bn, more than six times the $1.5bn raised for the whole of September 2011, according to Dealogic.
